Just because there are scammers all over the internet selling bootleg designer jeans, it does not mean that you can’t find the real deal for a bargain of a price. If you use the information that I provided on this page, you will end up with a pair of authentic True Religion jeans.
If you are still in doubt, and not sure about a specific pair that you want to purchase online, you can leave a comment below and I will try my best to authenticate them for you.

Fake or authentic?
January 20th, 2010 at 12:44 pm
jt75 - Haven’t seen that style before; they must be either very old or a terrible copy of the newer styles. I can’t say either way, but the horseshoes look really bad. That alone would make me avoid them.
dkn - 100% fake seller sites. e-truereligion is registered in China, and although jeanstrue is US-registered, it carries the same stolen images as the Chinese sites. Avoid both.
sallyisdabomb - No idea. You’re asking the wrong person
January 20th, 2010 at 12:45 pm
my4boysrule - First pair (previous page) - fake. Second pair (this page onwards) - they look a bit rough, but they’re probably genuine. Seller seems trustworthy. Third pair - genuine. Fourth pair - nasty fakes. Fifth pair - genuine.

Hi, I’m thinking about buying a pair of TR’s from a coworker that got a pair from ebay, which don’t fit. After doing research, I’m kind of suspect of them. The first three pictures are my main causes for concern. The leather patch on the back is leather and looks different than most TR patches. In the second pic, its the pocket buddhas, which are dark colored. Third, the inside tag is sewn on and it cuts a lot of the True Religion off of the tag. The tag behind that, with the horseshoe emblem on it does have the silver stitching, however, it’s slightly on the backside of the tag as opposed to the bottom of the front.
Please let me know so I can decide whether or not to buy these!

My daughter bought a pair of True Religion jeans in a store in our small town. The store owner said they were authentic but I have my doubts. She bought them for $80.00 & they were not on sale…this was the retail price. Is there any real True Religion jeans that retail for this price or was she scammed? If so, what should she do about it. They have a no return policy.

im looking to get a pair of TR from this site http://www.ecdrops.com/ProductShowList.aspx?BrandID=5681d202-ca28-48ed-8cd3-2bda3bb185bf and the item number is MJ:422(0.8) (in the thrid row) are these real?
January 23rd, 2010 at 11:49 am
are you for real? i’m not a moderator or administrator, but at 18.50 a pair do you really think these aren’t fakes. My God. If you have learned anything by coming to this site, you should be able to see that these websites do the bait and switch. they will show you pics of “true” TR’s and then send something out that is made in a sweatshop in China. I advise you to do some reading on this message board, so you can gain some insight on where you can find the real deal deals. I have had a lot of luck on eBay, maybe start there.

Ashley - $100 for a new pair of genuine TRs is possible, but it depends on style / age of stock. Post some photos if you can, I’ll take a look
James - I see the auction ended so I may be too late, but they were fake. Hope you didn’t win them!
Ricky - Again, auction finished but they were fake too.
pepe - Fake fake fake. Whilst it’s refreshingly honest to see “Made in China” on the label, genuine adult TRs are made in the US and nowhere else.
elmala - They sell fakes. Please don’t be tempted!
January 26th, 2010 at 12:45 pm
akm - You need to chill out a little bit. This site is largely abandoned. I’m not affiliated with this site at all, I’m just a passer-by who can’t stand to see people ripped off. There are no moderators or admins. So I do my best to check in now and again, but I’m a busy boy. On to your links…
Jan 23rd - Auction finished, they were fake.
Jan 24th - The orange label is fine, it’s a newer style and is actually leather, or at least it would be on genuine TRs. These are fake, however - Joey should have a twisted seam, these do not. Also, TRs never come in buddha-branded plastic bags.
Jan 25th - Auction over - a little hard to tell but I suspect fake.

Hey everyone, I’m a first-time True Religion buyer and for sure don’t want to get burnt looking for ‘deals’. If you could give your takes on the authenticity of the following jeans that would be super helpful.
(1) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170438667520&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_5952wt_1026
- Tried to match these up against everything said in this article and they seem genuine but a more experienced opinion would be appreciated.
(2) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360230591238&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_7054wt_1148
- These ones are pretty unique but that’s also what scares me. Can’t find another pair like them anywhere… fake? The following three pairs are a more conventional style and look pretty nice, but I really don’t have enough knowledge of the brand to be certain:
(3) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360230578550&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_7254wt_1148
(4) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360230592666&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_7872wt_1148
(5) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360230604910&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_7054wt_1148
** 2-5 are all from the same seller, and there are a few more TRs they’re selling that I’m interested in (same fit, same starting bid, but different stitching/washes).
Thanks for your help!

Hi I bought this from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290396775447&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Now I think it’s fake but everyone who bought it left positive feedbacks and the seller has 100% positive. Let me know guys if it’s fake, need to file a claim then. Thanks.

My4Boys: These are fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180457449287&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I was scammed by the same seller under another username. How do I know? Same hands, same mannequin, nearly the same jeans. When you get the front inner tag, you’ll see the difference - oh, and also the stamp on the inner pockets is very messy. The auction is ending soon, so I hope you see this.
February 13th, 2010 at 7:29 am
Sorry, I was looking at the wrong auction. These are probably fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180466497389&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Really good ones, though. The inner tags are exactly the same as my fakes. So are the fingers in the picture. The front of the main inner tag - not shown, has the buddha, and the “made in usa” is in caps on my jeans, not lowercase. If you are going to bid on this, ask to see the main inner tag first and also ask to see the inner pockets.

The most exspensive true religions I have cost me $ 480.00, the cheapest was $180.00 and they were on sale! So do the math people if your true religion jeans are less than $90.00( giving the benefit tof the doubt that they are on clearance) then chances are( 99%actually) THEY ARE FAKKKKKKKKEEEEEEE! as fake as the handback you purchased from the African at the flea market!
February 14th, 2010 at 12:21 pm
Buying real true religions on eBay is laughable I would never unless they were less than $30.00 and were buying them with intentions that they ARE FAKE! List of plases that will have authentic true religions is a long lost but I purchase mine from authentic stores with authentic prices lol so if your willing to pay full or sale price for an authentic true religion but aren’t sure if the store is an authentic dealer then email me and I’ll try to help you out example like nordstrom is definately a popular dealer for any jeans. But eBay uhhh I wouldn’t trust anyone on there with anything over $50.00. l_phipps09@yahoo.com
February 14th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
Wow! Ok, just checking. But,like me, some people out in ebay land are just cleaning out their closets of unwanted and unused items to make an extra buck. I have been burned by ebay but I also have dealt with a lot of reputable sellers and buyers, like myself. Anyways, I am new to this and just checking everything out. Is Zappos ok?

Brought older style true religion, Bridget stone and tint. I was told they replaced the joey’s. Does that mean they should be flared like the joeys? Are they suppose to have the Bissau on the inner pockets. I have a orange buddah tag and a tag that has 510 on it.

The seller of last item said that she bought it from warehouse sale(http://www.thewarehousesale.com/) where authentic samples are also available. Would the last item really be a sample from True Religion? Curious since it’s really rare style.
